Puffy the Puff Slayer

Cewah tajuk cam real je...tapi ni nak habaq, hangpa suka makan pastry puff tak ?? Klu suka hangpa beli ka buat ? Beli ???? Le apa kelas ihihihi..Ni mai che' nak ajaq cara paling sempoi (kata orang utara). Hangpa yang rasa cam susah nak buat puff ni elok la cuba , mesti sapa2 makan akan salute ngan hangpa....Ni dah jadi cam satu trend, actually idea ni dapat dari satu forummer from Singapore, Cranko21 namanya, tapi idea dia just great ! Wa salute lu !



Untuk Pastry :

1 bungkus Roti Pratha Kawan /Springfield(jgn yang lain menurut penyumbang resipi, klu pakai lain tak syok sangat)

Roti ini dibelah dua.

Kemudian di bubuh inti pada 1/4 bahagian yang 1/2 tadi.

Tutupkan dengan bahagian 1/4 lagi dan gam dengan menekan tepi doh dengan menggunakan garfu.

Inti boleh guna tuna, ayam+mushroom atau inti karipap - daging, ayam atau sardine.

Sapukan telur kuning dan bakar selama 20-30 min pada suhu 170-180C.

Senang kan ???? Cubalah !

Gym

Ok pagi tadi i dragged myself to the gym. Lepas dah goreng meehon for DH to tapau to the office, aku pun drove to Fitness First IOI. Sampai pun dah lewat 7.40. Tapi still ok . Dapat buat sejam. Seriously i need to get back into this regular fitness routine. Satu sebab kesihatan, when you're in the 30 something group, mau kena jaga lah. Ini dah la makan sebarang je.

So what i did today was 20 minutes on the X trainer. Burn around 220 calories, then p buat weight, the vertical traction 30kg 2 sets of 13 reps and 2 sets of 12 reps total 50 kali angkat berat ihihi. Dah tu p buat pulldown plak, same reps. then p hayun abductor same weight and same reps, sakit gak, tapi no pain no gain.

Finally i did the cardio wave 20 minutes and burn 600++ calories. On the machine i got to know this chinese lady. From her dialect she must be a Baba n Nyonya. Mmg sah. Dok citer dia bukak salon. And somehow i got interested pasal slimming gel, antara lain bahannya, cili api, lada hitam and halia....wah kalu sapu mau terbakar lemak2 ku ihihi...so sudah ckp next tuesday bawak tu gel...mau ku sapu satu badan. Kot mau meleleh lemak ku....ihihihhi.....

Pagi Yang Malang

Malang nasib ku.....Pagi ni semangat berkobar2 utk p gym. Dah lama tak pegi, since last friday so 4 hari dah. Badan pun dah tembun mana tak asik makan je lepas raya ni. Ok actually post ni nak menceritakan kisah sedih aku pagi ni. Tayar kete ku pancit. Aiseh man. Pagi2 buta aku kluar tengok2 i got a flat tyre. So DH turun ingat nak pump saja tapi the damage was more serious. So kami berdua kena la tukar tayar tu. Sib baik ada tayar spare, eventho the condition was not so good. Kesian tengok my hubby berpeluh2, sib baik matahari tak bersinar lagi n masih nasib baik lagi terjadi depan gate rumah aku ihihi...so tak berapa malang sangat la nasib aku.

Rewind balik kejadian....i think i must've langgar lubang la.....think it was last sunday the day i locked myself out...aiyooooooo serious punya kes, ingat satu hal je rupanya kesannya sampai hari ni ahahahahah. Yesterday plak i drove my sister's car since balik dari PD terus p kerja...aiya makna kata tayar tu dah pancit since sunday lagi la....keh keh keh...poor me !

So berbalik pada citer tayar tu, dah siap tukar tayar, DH suh tunggu kedai tayar bukak before i went to KL. AKu plak suppose to meet someone this morning, so terpaksala reschedule. Anyway...since aku kena tunggu for a couple of hours, aku pun buatla sedikit aktiviti, antaranya mencuci kereta....yes, sampai kete laki aku pun aku cuci....must be something unusual to the neighbours...ahahahah....

Dah siap tu aku buat muffin plak....sempat tu...akahakakaka...so i made blueberry and apple muffins, senang je pakai muffin mix beli kat BWY. dah siap tu just in-time kol 10. Mandi and terus pi Sg Buloh. Alhamdulillah kedai dah bukak, tapi yang tak bestnya aku kena fork out RM115 utk tayar tu, apparently dah bocor n tak boleh tampal, budak tu ckp aku masuk lubang kot. Aiyooooooooooo....So last2 aku kena bayar RM145 utk tayar + wiper (mine was so worn out , aku rasa dah 10 tahun tak tukar kot ahahahah..kalah Hj Bakhil).

Moral of the story, jangan langgar lubang klu tak, pecah (?) naya ahahahahaha.....

Rumahku....

Rumah ni makin nak siap. So tak lama lagi kami akan move in ke sini plak. Rumah ni got the best view of Saujana Utama, memandangkan di belakang rumah ni tak de bangunan yang akan block my view.

Aku tak tau la nak bikin camna, the design cam menyusahkan aku nak buat the kitchen cabinet, tang mana nak buh dapur aiyoooooooo....

View from master bedroom. Under development lagi, masih serabut, tapi i was hoping they don't close down the lake. Kalu bikin cantik2, aman damai je. Ada plak reflection of the moon, must be so romantic , ihihi ...

Mint ? Colgate ? Uuuuuyarghhhhhhhh

Ingat lagi masa kecik2 dulu cukup tak suka dengan mint, kalu mak buat laksa mesti akan buang daun pudina, sbb rasa cam colgate…ishhhh tak bestnya !!

Tapi kek ni hmmm…..Sedapnyaaaaaaaaa, siapa suka rasa mint mesti mau cuba ini kek. I got this wonderful recipe from Diana blog, Thank you !!. It’s so worth to try. I baked this cake tengahari tadi, sebagai buah tangan to my parents in law yang akan ke Jepun on Monday. So they have something to munch while on board.

Once u open the oven door when it is done, the minty flavour floats to your nose and the experience is just refreshing. The cake is soft, moist and the mint flavour is mild yet aromatic. It will be great to served as after dinner treat or during BBQ functions as cooling dessert. So get yourself busy, roll the sleeves and here’s the recipe.

The cake is wrapped with rich fudge topping with a hint of honey, but since I’m running out of time, (I’ve stupidly locked my self out (previous entry)) I with do the topping but still it taste the best !





CHOCOLATE MINT CAKE WITH FUDGE TOPPING

Bahan-bahannya
200 gram tepung naik sendiri
230 gram mentega/ majerin
220 gram gula kastor
230 gram telur / 4 eggs
1tsp gram esen vanilla
30 gram serbuk koko
50 gram susu
Beberapa titik pewarna hijau
2 tsp esen peppermint

Untuk Honey Chocolate Fudge:
150 gram coklat masakan
90 gram fresh cream
30 gram mentega
15 gram madu (2 sudu besar)

Cara-caranya
1. Panaskan oven pada suhu 180?C.
2. Alaskan kertas kuih pada loyang pembakar.
3. Pukul tepung naik sendiri yang telah diayak bersama mentega/majerin sehingga menjadi pes yang sebati.
4. Dalam mangkuk yang berasingan, pukul telur dan gula sehingga likat. Masukkan adunan ini dan esen vanilla ke dalam adunan tepung yang telah disediakan tadi dan pukul sehingga ia sebati dan kembang.
5. Bahagikan adunan kepada dua. Satu campurkan dengan serbuk koko dan susu segar, manakala bahagian lagi satu campurkan dengan pewarna hijau dan esen peppermint.
6. Tuang adunan berselang seli kedalam loyang berukuran 8'.
7. Bakar selama 45 - 50 minit.

Cara untuk Honey Chocolate Fudge Topping -

Campurkan kesemua bahan didalam mangkuk cairkan mengguna teknik double boil. Pukul bahan-bahan selama 5 ? 10 minit sehingga fudge menjadi sebati. Fudge yang masih setengah panas boleh anda sapukan diatas dan tepi kek.

Locked Out

Pagi ni aku locked myself out . Yes you heard me right. Aku tinggal kunci kat dalam rumah. So stupid of me. What happened this morning was I went for breakfast at this mamak rest with Mak and the whole gang. So after breakfast Mak and the gang went back to PJ. So I headed inside, took my car key and out to get the morning papers. Just when I pushed the knob button then I realized I left the keys inside. Oh just great !!! My DH tengah dok tido baik punya (dia tak joined the breakfast get-together). So I just had my wallet and my car keys with me. Cheh apa dah. Luckily for me, Mak still around, apparently Malik is checking his house (just nearby and currently he is staying in Miri). So I got Mak’s phone and rang home, no luck, DH masih belayar tengah laut lagi….eee nak marah pun tak leh sbb salah sendiri so I told mak not to worry, but I have to keep her phone. Kesian mak. So mak and the gang balik, and as for me trying my luck to break the door using my bonuslink card and as an unprofessional burglar I failed miserably.

What to do ?? A little luck is still with me, Syukur, I got my car keys and wallet, so I drove myself to Tasik Biru Kuang. Got a shaddy spot and read my Sunday gossip bulletin, the source to my knowledge of the glam world, cheh. After a while I got tired of reading, and decided to get a pair of slippers. Mine was so worn out and since I will be at my inlaws this evening it is so unappropriate for me to wear my blue slippers.

Drove to Rahman Putra, and called home several times, but no answer, gosh he must be really sleeping. Tension aku !!!

At almost 11, I rang home again and after waiting in anguished, finally someone picked up at the other end. ‘What ???’ he was flabbergasted of what had happened. Tak boleh cerita banyak aku cakap tolong bukak pintu, I terlocked myself.

Sampai je DH was still wondering what happened, and after telling my misfortune, dia hanya mampu geleng kepala sambil cakap ‘Nen Nen…’ arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and I got to spent almost ½ my Sunday morning outside. So moral of the story jangan tekan knob pintu until u are 100% sure the keys are safely with you.

Spellchecker

I wished someone invented spellchecker to check the spelling on birthday cake. Phewwwwww what is more terrible when the birthday cake ordered and delivered with a wrong spelling of the birthday girl’s name. Punyala tension, I just realized it when I was about to deliver the cake. Aiseh man, hopefully the mother won’t notice it la. Ting tong, hallo, your cake is here. After a while my customer came out and was so eager to have a look at the cake. I said it will be better if you take the cake inside first, I was hoping aku boleh blah tanpa adjust the name. Cheh teruk aku ni. So I took the cake inside, and wanna say bye-bye. The husband gave me 100 so I need to return 10. Aku nak blah sangat dah rasa. Acted cool and as if nothing happened I handed his change, but the mother said. You miss an ‘A’. Just great !!!!! Hmmm I never amend anything on a cake before. I’m afraid I will ruined the whole cake. Shit la why this thing always happened to me. They insisted, so I said I will be back with the icing. Once I got in the car, they stopped me. Aku dah lega ingat mereka cakap it’s ok lah but instead, you forgot the candles, we need candles. Alamak, aku terlupa beli lilin da. Cheh, kedai kat area rumah aku mana le ada jual candle for cakes, candles during blackout ada la. Takan nak bagi yang tu, gedabak beso ihihihi. Adoi satu masalah lah. So I drove to Kuang, luckily there’s one bakery and the owner was so good to sell me just the candles. Hihihi. Jasamu dikenang, walau their cakes doesn’t seem to attract me at all. Anyhow I managed to get the name corrected and handed the candles. Hopefully the birthday girl likes her cake, with hope next year I’ll receive order from them again. Will they ???? Cake with wrongly spelt birthday girl’s name, Dhanyshrie suppose to be Dhanyashrie (susahnya).

Cheezy Nite

Semalam aku bake 2 cakes; Oreo Cheese Cake and Cheese Fruit Cake. Both are orders from my frens. Ok la dari dok saja ada gak extra cash. Hujan petang semalam masa aku buat oreo cheese cake, dah tu kucing2 aku tak berenti mengiau, so aku bagi depa makan dulu. Nanti dah pindah tak tahulah nasib kucing2 ku nanti. DH mmg tak mau bawak. Daging aku tengah rebus, plan nak masak lemak daging, patutnya letak nangka, tapi hari ni tak de rezeki, nangka tak de plak. Sementara tunggu daging lembut, aku pun whipped the cheese, blend the biscuits, pour it, and in the oven it goes. Naik atas solat asar and tunggu maghrib sekali. Alhamdulillah aku dah masuk juz 10. Target aku 3 bulan khatam 1 kali. Setakat ni syukur aku on track lagi. Moga-moga Allah beri aku kekuatan untuk melaksanakan hak ku ke atas Al-Quran.

AKu sambung masak gulai lemak daging and goreng ikan selangat. Ikan favorite aku. Tapi yang aku beli ni besar2 skit, aku suka yang kecik2, lagi garing. Tak disangka2, once aku bawak balik ikan ni ke rumah mertua, bapak mentua aku punya la suka. It brings back good memories. Arwah mak dia suka goreng ikan ni and he'll ate it just like that. I did something good i guess. Sometimes small things kita buat pada orang the impact is just great. Ok dah siap masak , DH pun turun and we ate dinner at around 8. Gulai lemak daging turns out to be really hot, pedas gila even lidah DH aku yang born as orang Nogori pun terbakar, ahahahahah...camno ekau ni, eden baru masak podeh skit dah tobal bibir. He used to eat those pedas2 dishes, ingat lagi masa baru2 kawin , dia selalu ckp 'tak pedas lagi ni' , tapi lidah aku dah rasa terbakar dah. La ni apa dah jadi... AKu usik DH kata dia dah makin tua, lidah dah nipis. Bengang je dia.

Dah siap makan and do the dishes, aku sambung plak buat Cheese Fruit Cake for Dilla's father. Birthday pak dia esok. So ku gagah gak buat kek walaupun aku dah kepenatan. Siap tu aku naik atas while tunggu kek masak aku layan Desperate Housewifes.

Well that's what i did yesterday nite. Went to bed at ard 10 and got up as usual 4.30 am.

Cupcakes

Now everyone wanted to decorate the cuppies. Last sunday i made 1/2 portion of DianaA's Chocolate Oil Cake. The cake is moist and so easy to make.

The Recipe :-

3 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1 tsp baking soda

2 cups sugar
2 cups water
1 cup veggie oil

a) Sift flour+cocoa+soda
b) Mix everything thoroughly.
c) Bake for 20 minutes (for cupcakes) , 170C

Gulai Lemak Ikan Sepat, Mari Di makan Rapat-Rapat

Saturday got up very early @ 4.30 am. Bake chocolate cake utk bagi ke seorang kawan. Dah siap tu masak plak sambal tumis at wee hour. Hehehe sure neighbour aku pelik , pagi2 dah bising kat dapur. In fact perkara ni dah biasa kot, so sorry ye neighbour !!! Bear with it je lah kekekeke.

Went to Pasar Tani. Beli Nenas and ikan sepat. DH wanted Gulai Lemak Nenas+Ikan Sepat for lunch. Dah tu p beli Nasi lemak kat Merbau Sempak. Lama gila tak makan. Sedap oo nasi lemak ni. Sempoi je. Aku suka ngan adik yang jaga nasi lemak ni, rajin dan seorang anak yang baik. So bagi RM5 utk duit raya, suka dia. Kenapa aku suka budak ni eh mungkin sebab pagi2 lagi dia dah nampak kemas dan siap berniaga utk tolong mak dia. Adik ni bukan jenis suka merayau, la ni susah nak dapat budak lelaki yang rajin tolong mak dia. Hmmm siap aku ckp klu la aku ada anak pompuan mmg budak ni menantu pilihan la ahahahahhaah.

Balik tu we had breakfast, then DH cakap nak p tengok rumah. Kami ada beli second house kat same area just that it's end lot unit and atas bukit. So before that aku siapkan dulu kupas nenas, which i actually hate to do.



Settle masak, aku pun lepak sat before went out to Klang. Balik malam dah flat terus tido, one day gone just like that.

Wet Friday

Petang Jumaat hujan lebat gila. Ngan kilat. Jalan plak tok sah cakap la jem. Sampai rumah aku terus solat and mandi. Dah tu p hantar kek rumah Shari. She ordered the Carrot Cake. Balik tu singgah kedai and bought baked beans. Balik goreng telor, burger and baked beans, so that's our dinner.

Tapau for Breakfast

Pagi tadi goreng mee keras utk bagi DH bawak opis. Patut for breakfast, tapi dia masuk lambat dah jadi for lunch...tak kisah la asal tak basi sudah...

Roses are Red, Violet are Blue

Roses are so sweet kan ? Ni aku beli kat Ikea, masa bulan posa tu hari. Cantik kan, cam real je ihihi. Ok ni nak cerita something terjadi kat Ikea. Masa tu lunch time, aku pun p la Mutiara Damansara, mula2 hajat nak p beli shirt for my DH, sebab dia tolong jadi salesman jual kek2 aku, so aku kena la reward him something, aku nak sambar jersey kat Canterbury. Usha2, mahal siut...dah tu ada yang club saja, so aku pun tak mo la beli, tapi ada this nice Canterbury t-shirt rega dalam RM160 kot , so aku pun amik je lah. Dah tu ingat nak balik ke opis tapi singgah Ikea dulu. Aku pun slowly la jalan sensorang...ada la few items aku amik buh dalam beg kuning dia tu. Sampai kat bawah aku amik cart, and shop for a few things, antaranya bekas sudu - ni mmg aku nak, gelas dan ntah apa lagi lah. So bila dah sampai ke cashier area aku round2 and tinggal my cart kat satu area. Dok belek2 bunga si rose ni lah. Dah puas hati aku pun nak buh la dalam cart aku...tapi cart aku dah TAK ADA !!!!!!!!! Arghhhhhhhhhhhh, melilau aku pusing, tension siut, dah satu Ikea aku pusing tetiba cart aku ngan barang2 yang aku dah shop tadi went missing. Letih siut. Last2 aku amik je la apa yang ada kat area tu....so aku amik vase, rose and rugs...
Nak pi Ikea tak tau la lagi...So moral of the story jangan tinggalkan your shopping cart berlegar2 tak tentu arah. Ada yang akan curi cart anda ... ihihihi....


Chocolate Ganache

Chocolate Ganache is the most popular chocolate cake topping. This morning i've stumbled on a new creation that is so easy. Usually i used double cream, but somehow this morning I ran out of it. The only cream left was the whipping cream..what the heck it's still a cream. The result, walahhhhhhhh just great !

The World Most Simple Choc Ganache.

200g cooking chocolate
100 g whip cream

Melt chocolate, mix the cream, heat for a while in the microwave. Mix it all up with a whisker. At this moment the ganache is still runny, so keep aside until it is well set. Once set, splash it on your cake. Done !

Carrot Cake


I got the recipe from this book; 'Joy of Baking', bought it at Bake With Yen a couple of years ago. This is the book that ignite me into the cake making world, and somehow I ended with a small cake business. Oders are overwhelming for this carrot cake, and i got repeat orders too. They like the moistureness of the cake and when combine with the cheese frosting, it's a heavenly treat. I love to share this simpe but wonderful recipe with you.

Ingredients For the Cake:-

A)
250 g plain flour
11/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt

B)
170 g castor sugar
140 g brown sugar
4 egg yolks
11/2 cups veggie oil
1 cup grated carrot

C)
4 egg white

D)
100 g toasted chopped walnut

Method :
Preheat oven to 180C
a) Sift A, put aside
b) Mix B thoroughly
c) Beat egg white with electric mixer until stiffen.
d) Add A to B, mix well.
e) Add in egg white to to mixture and slowly mix it. Do not overbeat, enough by stiring the egg white combine. This will make the cake lighter.
g) Finally add in the walnut.
h) Greased 9 inch pan.
i) Bake for 1-11/4 hours.

Let cool.

Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients:-
200g cream cheese
180 g whipping cream
100 g castor sugar.

Method
a)Beat cream cheese and sugar until white and fluffy
b) Add in the whip cream and beat until smooth.

Yee Mee Oooooohhh Babyyy


This is easy to cook, quick and paling penting sedap !

1-2 ketul Yee Mee
Udang
2 biji bawang putih
1 biji bawang merah
3-4 cili api di ketuk(terpulang, nak pedas boleh bubuh banyak)
600 ml air (or chicken stock)
1 kiub ayam (ommit if using chicken stock)
1/2 biji telur di pukul sedikit
1 cmb tepung jagung (ikut kepekatan, saya tak suka pekat sgt so 1 tbsp is enough)

Sayur :- sawi, carrot (terpulang pada kesukaan anda)

a) Tumbuk bawang putih dan bawang merah.
b) Tumis bahan2 tumbuk dan masukkan cili api yang di ketuk. Masukkan udang, masak sebentar.
c) Masukkan air, dan kiub ayam.
d) Masak sup hingga mendidih.
e) Masukkan telur dan kacau-kacau.
f) Akhir sekali masukkan tepung jagung.
g) Letak Yee Mee di dalam pinggan dan tuang sup yang panas atau jika anda suka boleh juga di masukkan yee mee akhir sekali dan masak bersama sehingga lembut.

Black Forest


Kek ni sedap gak. Boss hubby aku suka gila. Aku plak tak kedekut fillings. Aku realised part decoration aku agak fail. Kena practise selalu la ni macam.

Donuts...Anyone ?

Yummy !! These petite donuts is so soft. Masa ni tengah gila buat donut. Almost every week. Actually it was sent to my fren's kindergarden, until one day she called and asked for other options. Budak2 dah naik jelak dok makan donut.

Awal-awal


Ni cake decorated awal-2 penglibatan aku dalam business cake. This cake was ordered by office mate aku. Adik dia nak bertunag, so aku ni creativity kurang skit, aku tepek bunga je lah, tu pun beli ready made. But i think it turns out quite ok la, simple but nice kan ?

Kucing-kucing Ku



Ni kucing2 ku from the 1st generation. Ibunya kami panggil Miau saja. One day si Miau ni datang, so aku ni mula2 memang geli ngan kucing. Tapi bila ku lihat si Miau yang cantik, putih tompok2 grey and blue eyes aku terus cair. Started with aku bagi makan, dah tu dia pregnant plak. Aku cakap, nanti nak beranak mari sini.

Satu malam, aku ingat lagi on the eve of my birthday tahun 2003, balik dari kerja aku bagi makan, dia cium2 saja, tak lalu. Rupa2nya dia dah due sangat. So malam tu aku pun jadi lah bidan. Dan lahirlah anak2 kucing yang cumil2.
La ni tinggal hat hitam tu je, Tiger. Dah 3 kali beranak. So rumah aku dah jadi cam SPCA. Total i have 11 cats. Tu pun dah banyak mati klu tak mau cecah puluh2 ihihihi.

Aku dan Camera

Ok finally aku ada camera dah. Tapi ni pun Chik yang bagi. Thank you ! Jasa mu di kenang.
But my excitement turns up bitter sbb battery camera ni kong, semalaman aku charge ngan harapan pagi ni boleh la aku menangkap gambo tapi harapan tinggal harapan. Cis.

Tak pe, kang aku keluar aku sambar la bateri tu.

So lama sungguh tak update blog ni. Selain aku tarak mood, and idea. Nak kata sibuk tak juga. It just happened that penyakit malas aku menyerang.

Ayah



Dah hampir setahun ayah tinggalkan kami. Ayah pergi menyahut seruan Ilahi jam 3.40 pagi 14 Januari 2006. Ayah pergi dengan tenang. Gambo kat atas masa pi makan kat Ibu Mertuaku di Kuang. Ayah suka main double bass ihihi.


Ni gambar terakhir ayah, masa ni birthday mak, (10 Januari 2006) - hari raya haji. So ini merupakan hari terakhir ayah menyambut Aidil Adha dan birthday mak bersama2.

Aku merasa kehilangan sangat. Aku miss ayah so much. Ayah ni pandai berjenaka. Sangat ambil berat tentang anak2. He's the best Dad. Aku bersyukur sangat atas kurniaan ini, menjadi anak pada Mohammed Dahari bin Yahya.

Ya Allah, ampunilah dosa-dosa ayahku. Tempatlah dia di kalangan orang-orang yang kau kasihi. Rahmatilah dia dan jadikanlah syurga Firdaus tempat kembalinya ayahku. Amin.

Pada sesiapa yang masih mempunyai ayah atau ibu, hargailah jasa mereka, janganlah kecilkan hati mereka dan luanglah masa untuk mereka. Sebab satu hari nanti bila mereka tiada, kenangan bersama akan tetap tersemat di lipatan memori yang paling indah.
